Meteoric Dandelion

This photo was chosen as Photo of the Week by an international group the Omaha Photography Group is part of…the best images this week from photography groups all over the world.

Dandelions hold ongoing beauty and mystery to me, no matter how many times I photograph them! This was taken after sunset on a table in my kitchen using only a UV flashlight as a light source. I used a Canon R5 camera with a Canon 100 mm Macro lens set at ISO 400, f10 and took a long exposure of 5 seconds.

The small tendril hanging off the lower right side of the dandelion created a meteor type flare which I love!
